Functions: Glycerin or glycerol is a member of the family of polyalcohols, it can be produced by synthesis from petroleum derivatives, or from animal or vegetable fats by saponification. Glycerin is used for its strong hydrating, occlusive (protects the skin from aggressions), emollient (smoothes the skin and hair) or humectant (allows a product to keep its fluid aspect) power.
